The first episode starts us off with a wealth of glasses shots featuring both of our favorite agents.
When we meet Mulder for the first time, he’s wearing glasses.
Scully wears glasses in the Pilot on multiple occasions.
Like reading on the plane.
And doing an autopsy.
And typing on her laptop before Mulder drops by.
And typing on her laptop again before the power goes out.
I’m not sure if any other episode in the entire series has so much hot glasses action.
1×01 – Deep Throat
Scully looks so sophisticated in her glasses as she waits for Mulder at the beginning of Deep Throat.

1×02 – Squeeze
Return of the Mulder!Glasses.

Scully wears her glasses at home while typing up a report.
1×21 – Born Again
While looking through documents, Scully is crushed beneath the weight of her own shoulder pads. And is also wearing glasses.
2×03 – Blood
Scully’s glasses make an appearance in two different scenes.
2×07 – 3
The saddest Scully glasses. ;_; Still, it says something about the prominence of Scully’s glasses in the early days that Mulder would hold onto them along with her badge and her cross.
3×09 – Nisei
Mulder glasses make a nice little appearance in Nisei.
4×20 – Small Potatoes
Casual Friday night scientific research at home Scully glasses.
7×01 – The Sixth Extinction
Scully glasses are few and far between now, but this episode gives them a lot of screentime. Scully glasses in Africa! Now I need to go back and screencap all of the glasses in between!
11×08 – Nothing Lasts Forever
The series’ penultimate episode sees the triumphant return of the long lost Mulder glasses!! Mulder’s new bifocals, er… progressive lenses… are featured prominently in a few different scenes.
